Middle School teachers for the Newark Champions of Learning Interactive Grant

In 2003, served on the Advisory Committee for "A Day in the Life of Newark"
where a group of over 1,000 students from the NPS District participated in a
photographic shoot of a diverse collection of images around the city

In 2006, funded a consultant on behalf of the City of Newark to review police

Regional Economic Development (WIRED) initiative; awarded $100,000 Planning
Grant
In partnership with the Newark Workforce Investment Board supported the
development and opening of the One-Stop Satellite Office at the Port Newark
Awarded $5.1 million U.S. DOL WIRED grant in January 2007 to implement
innovative workforce development programs in eight northern NJ counties
Project Coordinator for the North Jersey WIRED/NJ State Innovation Partnership
Institute Financial Services Industry $150,000 one-year grant to involve industry

Awarded $100,000 grant from the Victoria Foundation to develop truck driving
