Kimberly Brown

Director of Operations - Newark Youth Career Pathways

Kimberly Brown is an education advocate and Director of Youth Operations for Newark Youth Career Pathways. She has spent the past 15 years providing mentorship and academic advisement to students in the City of Newark and is committed to assisting students in designing their pathways to success.

Prior to joining the NYCP, Kimberly was the Program Manager for the Rutgers Future Scholars—Newark program, where she coordinated summer and Saturday enrichment and college readiness programming for rising seventh through twelfth-grade first-generation college students. She is a graduate of Rutgers University, where she studied African American and African Studies and was able to begin dissecting the economic disparities that create educational barriers that prevent minority students from accessing higher education.

Kimberly is driven by her passion to illuminate and eliminate said barriers by collaborating with individuals and organizations dedicated to providing services and support to inner-city youth.
